HP Subordinate Allied Services Main Exam 2024 [General Studies Paper]

Hello readers! Today in this article we will look at the HP Subordinate Allied Services Mains Exam 2024 General Studies Paper Questions conducted by Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) on 7th March 2025. This question paper consisted of a total of 22 questions, which were divided into 2 parts:

Question numbers 1 to 16 were of 8 marks each, and question numbers 17 to 22 were of 12 marks each. This analysis will prove useful for all those candidates who are preparing for HP Subordinate Allied Services conducted by HPPSC in future. Let us now know in detail what was included in this question paper.

Answer to Question No.1 to 16 should not exceed 150 words in each case. Contents of the answers are more important than their length. Each question carries 08 marks.
प्रश्न संख्या 1 से 16 तक के उत्तर प्रत्येक मामले में 150 शब्दों से अधिक नहीं होने चाहिए। उत्तरों की विषयवस्तु उनकी लंबाई से अधिक महत्वपूर्ण है। प्रत्येक प्रश्न के 08 अंक हैं।

1. Discuss critically the economic views of Mahatma Gandhi.
महात्मा गांधी के आर्थिक विचारों की आलोचनात्मक रूप से चर्चा करे।

2.Throw light on the formation and activities of ‘Home Rule League’ of Annie Besant
ऐनी बेसेंट की ‘होम रूल लीग’ के गठन और गतिविधियों पर प्रकाश डाले ।

3.Describe the Archaeological sources and Ancient Hindu religious Literature of Himachal Pradesh History.
हिमाचल प्रदेश के इतिहास के पुरातात्विक स्रोतो और प्राचीन हिन्दू धार्मिक साहित्य का वर्णन करे ।

4. Describe the areas of heavy, moderate, average and scanty rainfall in India.
भारत में अत्यधिक, मध्यम, साधारण तथा अति न्यून वर्षा वाले क्षेत्रों का वर्णन कीजिए।

5.Attempt a classification of Indian soils and describe the characteristics and distribution of laterite soil in India.
भारतीय मिट्टियों का वर्गीकरण कीजिए तथा भारत की लेटराइट मिट्टी के लक्षण एवं वितरण का वर्णन कीजिए।

6.Give a Geographical account of the Beas drainage system of Himachal Pradesh.
हिमाचल प्रदेश की ब्यास अपवाह प्रणाली का भौगोलिक विवरण दीजिए ।

7. What are the causes of floods in India? Describe the flood-affected area in India.
भारत में बाढ़ों के क्या कारण हैं ? भारत के बाढ़ग्रस्त क्षेत्रों का विस्तार से वर्णन करें ।

8.Explain the consequences and remedial measures of air pollution in India.
भारत में वायु प्रदूषण के परिणामों और उपचारात्मक उपायों की व्याख्या कीजिए ।

9. Analyse the impact of India’s demographic dividend on its economic growth. How can India capitalize on this demographic advantage for sustainable economic development?
भारत के जनसांख्यिकीय लाभांश के आर्थिक विकास पर प्रभाव का विश्लेषण करें। भारत सतत आर्थिक विकास के लिए इस जनसांख्यिकीय लाभ का लाभ कैसे उठा सकता हैं?

10. Examine the objectives and outcomes of the Five-Year Plans in India. How successful were these plans in addressing issues like poverty alleviations, industrialization, and regional disparities?

12. Explain the basis of changing dynamics of relations between men and women in Indian families. Justify with examples from your state.

14.How culture helps in unifying the people? Explain with suitable examples.

15. Examine the possibilities of emergence of two-party system in India, in the light of emergence of ‘NDA’ and ‘INDIA’ groups at the national level?
