HP JBT Batch Wise Recruitment 2023: Recruitment has started for batchwise 1161 posts of JBT in Himachal Pradesh Education Department.  Directorate of Elementary Education has released the schedule of distribution of posts district wise. Candidates who have secured 50% marks in class 12th and have done JBT or D.El.Ed will be eligible for batchwise recruitment.

All eligible candidates must submit applications for District cadre positions, regardless of their home districts, according to a decision by the Hon’ble High Court of Himachal Pradesh.  For teaching vacancies in the past, candidates had to travel across districts, wasting time, money and human resources.  Additionally, because they often switched districts, applicants on the merit or waiting lists missed out on opportunities. The Directorate of Elementary Education has taken the following actions to correct this:

• Counseling for district-wise job recruitment in Himachal Pradesh will be held from November 20 to 25, 2023, overseen by a selection committee led by district education officials.
• Candidates, regardless of district, can participate, but counseling will only occur in their home districts. Eligible candidates must submit their district preferences during counseling, and these choices cannot be changed afterward.
•  Details about available positions in each district will be provided, and Deputy Directors are responsible for publicizing this information widely through the press for candidate convenience.

 Educational Qualifications:

• • Must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks or Senior Secondary with 50% marks from a recognized board of School Education.
  • Should have completed 2 years Junior Basic Teachers Course/Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from an institute affiliated to Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE).
  • Alternatively, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (by whatever name known) is acceptable.
  • Candidates with Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and at least 45% marks, along with 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT)/Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (as per NCTE regulations) are also eligible.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or 2 years Diploma in Education (Special) are valid qualifications.
  • Graduates with 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) are eligible.
  • Post-Graduates with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. are eligible.

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET):

• • Candidates must pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the authority designated by the HP State Govt.
  • Candidates who have already qualified the TET conducted by H.P. Subordinate Service Selection Commission or H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala, are also eligible, subject to specific conditions outlined in the guidelines issued by the National Council for Teacher Education.

• Shortlisting Candidates:
  • The shortlist of candidates will be made by District Education Officers (DDEEs) using the current process.
  • The Directorate will receive information from DDEEs about the shortlisted candidates.
  • The Directorate level will prepare the state’s overall merit list.
  • Each district’s list of finalists is limited to the number of vacancies in that category that are open statewide.

• Submission of Shortlisted Candidates:
  • The shortlisted candidates’ information must be submitted by DDEEs using the prescribed format (Annexure-C) in both excel and pdf formats.
  • By November 30, 2023, the Directorate must receive this information.

• Final Selection and Appointment:
  • The directorate level will create the final list of chosen applicants for each district as well as the waiting list.
  • Districts will be given to candidates according on their order of preference and place on the overall merit list.
  • Posting is not guaranteed whether your name appears on the shortlist or overall merit list; real appointments will take place following document verification.
  • The Directorate will offer an example, and appointment letters will conform to a standard structure throughout the state.
  • Appointments will be confirmed by principals or headmasters following document verification.

• Filling Vacant Seats:
  • The Deputy Directors will fill open seats from the waiting list within the allotted time period if the chosen candidates do not enroll.
